StudioFractal have been selected to create a highly sustainable lighting strategy for Bankside Yards, a 1.4m sq ft mixed-use redevelopment project adjacent to the Thames, that seeks to re-establish a lost major city intersection and establish a reimagined connection between Tate Modern and Blackfriars Station. Aiming to be the first major fossil-fuel-free, mixed-use development in London, lighting plays a major role in connecting eight new buildings, peaking at 50 storeys, sitting above 14 grand arches and helping connect the celebrated cultural walkway from the Royal Festival Hall to the Tate Modern.
